How does a system work?

When you want to place a system bet, you will select different events and combine them on your bet slip. Afterward, a pair of possible outcomes will be created from your selections. You will then decide how many of those possible outcomes will be correct for you to win your bet.

The odds of each pair of possible outcomes are then calculated by multiplying the individual bets. 

For instance, if you select 4 games, the odds for the games will be combined to form a system bet. A pair of possible results will be formed for each game thereby creating a total of 6 accumulators.

The odds of each line on the accumulator will be multiplied and added together. If you are banked two of those possible outcome to be correct and it happens that way, you will win some money even if the remain.

A system bet can be placed on any type of sports and any betting market depending on the terms set by the bookmaker. In this case, your bet slip must have at least 3 events and a maximum of 8 selections.

So, when you place your bet, you will get to decide how many of the combinations you think will be successful. If the number of combinations you chose ends up as predicted, you will win something whether or not the remaining selections come through. 

Examples of system bets

Now let’s show you some examples so you can get a good picture of how system bets work. 

• 2/3: You have 3 fold multibet and you believe 2 of them will be successful 
• 3/5: This means you are expecting to win 3 of 5 selections
• 4/6: You have six combinations on your bet slip and you are hoping that at least four of them will come through
• 6/8: It means you are hoping that 6 out of 8 selections will be successful.

Now, let’s give you a picture of the 2/3 system bet example. Choose three different matches that you want to bet on. Let’s say you have decided to place a bet on:

Arsenal  Vs Manchester City 

Monaco Vs PSG

Lazio  Vs Inter

If you are choosing the 1×2 market and you are backing Man City to win at odds of 2.20, PSG to win at odds of 2.30 and Inter to win at odds of 1.90, system bets give you all the possible two-bet combinations with three betting series displayed on your slip. 

If Man City and PSG win their games and Inter loses to Lazio, you will win something. 

 Bet1: Man City Win 2.20 and PSG Win 2.30

 Bet2: Man City Win 2.20 and Inter Win 1.90

 Bet3: PSG Win 2.30 and Lazio Win 2.30

If the bet ends this way, it means you have lost one leg because Inter did not win. However, you will still win some payout because you got 2 out of 3 predictions correctly. So, if you placed ₦1,000 on the 2/3 system bet, you will win based the System bet calculator below:

Bet 1 Man City Win 2.20 and PSG Win 2.30

Bet 3 PSG Win 2.30 and Lazio Win 2.30

That means your system bet payout will be calculated as follows:

(₦1,000 X 2.20 X 2.30) + (₦1,000 x 2.30 X 2.30)

₦4,840 + ₦5,290 = ₦10,130

Basically, you would have won a whopping ₦10,130 with just a stake of ₦1,000.
